Privacy at A Friend
Controller for this pre-launch website: Beans & Bits GmbH, Dr. Helmut-Marsoner-Weg 3c, 6175 Kematen in Tirol, Austria. Contact: hello@a-friend.ai.
When you join the waitlist, we process the email address you provide, your optional first name, the signup source, consent timestamp, and newsletter sync status so we can send launch updates, early-access invitations, and product-campaign information you asked to receive.
For abuse prevention and site security, the waitlist flow may process request metadata such as IP address headers for rate limiting, plus technical server logs generated by the hosting and application infrastructure.
For product and campaign analytics, the site may record privacy-conscious first-party events such as page views, section visibility, CTA clicks, scroll depth, social-link clicks, waitlist submissions, page path, referrer host, session identifier, and user-agent string. Query strings and URL fragments are stripped before first-party analytics storage.
For Indiegogo-campaign measurement, the site uses Meta’s Pixel and Conversions API. Where required by law (EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland), these only run after you give consent through our cookie banner; in other regions they are active by default in line with regional norms. When active, your hashed email (SHA-256), IP address, user-agent, and Meta first-party cookies (_fbp, and _fbc when you arrive via a Meta ad with a click identifier) are processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for measurement and audience-building purposes. Data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw consent any time by clearing your consent cookie, opting out via the cookie banner, or emailing hello@a-friend.ai.
The website is hosted and operated with service providers that may include Vercel, Payload/Postgres infrastructure, Supabase for internal analytics, Brevo for newsletter contact sync, and Meta Platforms (for Pixel/Conversions API where consented). These providers process data only as needed to operate the site, deliver emails, protect the service, measure campaign performance, and build privacy-respecting audiences for the Indiegogo campaign.
We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or it is no longer needed for the pre-launch and launch relationship. Technical logs and analytics are kept only as long as needed for security, debugging, and campaign/product analysis.
You can request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent by emailing hello@a-friend.ai. This notice covers the pre-launch website and campaign pages; fuller product, commerce, and app-specific privacy terms will be added before those surfaces go live.
